WP4 Domino reaction in ionic liquids

WP LEADER COMENIUS UNIVERSITY IN BRATISLAVA

Objectives

Establishing new and effective reaction conditions for performing the domino reactions in ionic liquid. Studying with the best catalyst prepared within the consortium the preparation of lead molecules in ionic liquids. Introduce on gold surface organocatalysts though the sue of the Click chemistry (Cycloaddition reaction between alkynes and azides catalyzed by copper). Recover the catalyst. Use in microreactors for domino organocatalytic reactions.

Description of work

The work will involve standard organic synthetic techniques by a single postdoctoral co-worker. There are two general task to study in this workpackage.

Task 1: Domino reaction in ionic liquid. Catalytic domino reactions will be studied in ionic liquid, using different organocatalysts. More organocatalysis prepared in the consortium will be used with the domino reactions in ionic liquid conditions. Interactions with WP1, WP2, WP3, WP7. The work will involve standard organic synthetic techniques by a single postdoctoral co-worker.

Task 2. Mounted ferrocenyl ligand using click chemistry. Self assembled monolayer will be prepared with the aim to sue Click chemistry for solid supported organocatalyst. Domino reactions with the supported catalysts will be investigated in ionic liquid.

Deliverables

A Single report (D9), at month 36, will be provided detailing all results obtained with the use of ionic liquids and in the new domino reactions. Lead molecules obtained will be tested within the consortium. Aspect of this deliverable will be presented in the public domain via the web interface and the scientific part of the project symposia (D16).
